Move More, Stress Less Bingo

In April, we observe both Stress Awareness Month, and Move More Month, which is fitting because moving more can have a big impact on our stress levels! Did you know that among its many benefits, exercise makes our bodies more resilient to stress, reduces cortisol levels, and boosts feel-good chemicals like endorphins? Best of all, you don’t need to put in a lot of time or effort to get these results, just 10-20 minutes of movement each day!

This month, challenge yourself to try some of the activities from the Move More, Stress Less Bingo card and see how even small moments of movement can make a big difference in how you feel! Can you cover the whole card?

Take a walk with a coworker before work Try a new fitness activity that you've been curious about Do calisthenics during TV commercial breaks Stand during your next meeting Take a hike!
Schedule a stretch break into your workday Do calf raises while you brush your teeth Break out the jump rope and see how long you can keep it going! Stretch for ten minutes before bed for a better night's sleep Take a walk while you catch up with a long-distance pal on the phone.
Play catch (or fetch!) Mow the lawn or do some gardening

Ease into your day with a ten-minute morning stretch Shoot some hoops! 
Go for a plog– pick up litter while jogging! Vacuum vigorously See how long you can hold a plank. Next time, try for five seconds longer! Take the stairs! Turn up the music and dance for three songs!
Go to a fitness class Do air squats at your desk Take a ten-minute walk break Park in the last row of the parking lot Hula hoop!
